HUMIC AND FULVIC ACIDS

Thanks to the humic acids, the agricultural soil shows stability in the mineralization process that, in their absence, would take place more rapidly and would give rise to nutrient washout. Humic acids are also responsible for a longer time of protein degradation, resulting in slow release of the same. Finally, they are responsible for the formation of organo-mineral complexes, with the chemical elements present in the soil, which would otherwise remain in-solubilized.

Fulvic acids contain less carbon and nitrogen and a greater amount of oxygen compared to humic acids. For this reason, they are more "reactive" and tend to form soluble salts with many chemical elements present in the soil (Ca, Mg, Al, Fe). In fact, fulvic acids reduce to the utmost the negative effects on plants due to soils with a particularly "heavy", where the circulation of oxygen is poor
